
ROMEX COUGH SYRUP is a non-drowsy preparation recommended for the
relief of chesty coughs, catarrh and stuffiness, and also for the
symptomatic relief of flu, sore throats and colds.
Actions
ROMEX COUGH SYRUP reduces the viscosity of sputum and increases the
volume of secretions in the respiratory tract, making it easier to
expel mucous. The syrup is also formulated to relieve dryness and
irritation, soothing the throat.
Composition
Each 5ml contains:
Ammonium Chloride 100 mg
Menthol 10 mg
Dosage >> Children 8-12yrs: 5ml to 10ml, 3 to 4 times daily. >> Above 12 years: 10ml to 20ml, 3 to 4 times daily.
Contra-Indication
Romex cough syrup is contra-indicated in patients who have
manifested hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to Menthol and
Ammonium chloride. It should also be taken with care in patients,
with impaired kidney or liver function.
Caution
Patients who have been diagnosed with renal impairment must consult
their physician before taking ROMEX COUGH SYRUP.
Side Effects
Romex cough syrup is well tolerated. However overdosage may induce
symptoms such as nausea and vomiting.
Storage
Store in a dry place below 30°C. Protect from light.
Presentation
Romex cough syrup is presented in 100ml, 125ml and 150ml amber
coloured bottles with plastic tamper evident caps in high quality
paper packets. |
